【英文繪本】The Very Hungry Caterpillar
今天為大家帶來的這本繪本相信不用我介紹大家也都有所瞭解，它就是卡爾爺爺另一本經典繪本《TheVery Hungry Caterpillar》（《好餓的毛毛蟲》）。在這本繪本中孩子不僅可以瞭解關於星期的詞彙、食物的詞彙還能直觀地感受到毛毛蟲變成蟲繭再到蝴蝶的過程，可以說是既有趣又有益。
之前介紹過卡爾爺爺的《Brown Bear Brown Bear What DoYou See》非常適合低幼小朋友的英語啟蒙，之後再來學習這本《The Very HungryCaterpillar》相信孩子會更容易掌握。
【正文】
In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf。
月光下，一個小小的卵躺在葉子上。
One Sunday morning the warm sun
came up and —— pop！——
out of the egg came a tiny
and very hungry caterpillar。
週末的清晨，溫暖的太陽昇起了。
砰！
一隻又小又餓的毛毛蟲從卵裡鑽出來了。
He started to look for some food。
他開始尋找食物。
On Monday he ate through one apple，
but he was still hungry。
週一，它吃了一個蘋果，
但還是很餓。
On Tuesday he ate through two pears，
but he was still hungry。
週二，它吃了兩個桃子，
但還是很餓。
On Wednesday he ate through three plums，
but he was still hungry。
週三，它吃了三顆李子，
但還是很餓。
On Thursday he ate through four strawberries，
but he was still hungry。
週四，他吃了四顆草莓，
還是很餓。
On Friday he ate through five oranges，
but he was still hungry。
週五，他吃了五個橘子，
還是很餓。
On Saturday he ate through
one piece of chocolate cake，
one ice-cream cone， one pickle，
one slice of Swiss cheese，
one slice of salami， one lollipop，
one piece of cherry pie， one sausage，
one cupcake， and one slice of watermelon。
週六，他吃了一塊巧克力餅、
一盒冰激凌、一塊黃瓜、
一塊瑞士乳酪，
一片香腸，一個棒棒糖，
一個餡餅，一個香腸，
一個蛋糕，一片西瓜。
That night he had a stomachache！
到了晚上，他開始肚子疼！
The next day was Sunday again。
The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf，
and after that he felt much better。
第二天又是週末了。
這隻毛毛蟲吃了一片新鮮的葉子，
感覺好多了。
Now he wasn’t hungry any more ——
and he wasn’t a little caterpillar any more。
He was a big， fat caterpillar。
現在它終於不餓了——
而且它也不再是一隻小毛毛蟲。
它成了一隻大大的、胖胖的毛毛蟲。
He built a small house， called a cocoon，
around himself。 He stayed inside for more than two weeks。
Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon，
pushed his way out and…
它在自己周圍建造了一個小房子，叫做繭，
在裡面待了超過兩週。
然後它把繭咬出一個洞，
鑽了出來，然後…
he was a beautiful butterfly！
它成了一隻美麗的蝴蝶！

手工拓展
關於好餓的毛毛蟲的拓展又非常多，可以用橡皮泥和孩子一起做一隻毛毛蟲，還可以去戶外觀察毛毛蟲和蝴蝶的區別，還有各種各樣的練習冊，填色拓展都非常適合。
詞彙拓展
在《TheVery Hungry Caterpillar》中涉及到很多基礎詞彙，可以利用閃卡幫助孩子記憶。家長說出一個詞讓孩子找對應的閃卡，針對大一點的孩子還可以將卡片倒扣讓孩子訓練記憶力，都是非常好的拓展方式。
