三隻小豬的故事

old Sow（老母豬）， with three little Pigs（養育著三隻小豬）， to seek their fortune（去尋找屬於自己的人生）。

The first that went off（第一隻離開的小豬）， a Man with a bundle of straw（攜帶一捆稻草的人）。

Presently（不久之後）， huff and puff（吸氣和吐氣）， blow your house in（吹跑你的房子，然後進去）。

No， no， by the hair of my chinny chin chin（以我下巴上的毛起誓，我絕不會讓你進來的）。

furze（荊豆）。

blew the house down（把房子吹倒）。

a load of bricks（很多磚頭）。

So the Wolf came， as he did to the other little Pigs。。。

turnips（蕪菁（wú-jīng））， home-field（自家菜園）。

got a nice pot-full（摘了一整鍋的蕪菁）。

he would be up to the little Pig somehow or other（總會用某種法子吃掉這隻小豬）。

bustled up（忙碌了起來）， hoping（原形為hope而不是hop）， had farther to go（必須得走很遠的路）。

what are you here before me（你怎麼又比我先到這兒來了）？

Fair（集市）。

butter churn（黃油攪拌器）。

rolled down the hill（滾下了山丘）。

would get down the chimney after him（從煙囪上爬下來然後追他）。

hung on the pot full of water（架起了填滿水的鍋）， made up a blazing fire（升起了燃燒的大火）， took off the cover of the pot（掀起了鍋蓋）。

put on the cover again in an instant（又立即蓋上了鍋蓋）。
